Very heavy peeling when using the brush

Comments:

This is the first time I've used a brush on my face, so I have no others to compare my experience with. I use the olive oil cleanser followed by the olive oil soap. Without the brush, my skin feels clean. With the brush, my facial skin around my mouth and on my lower cheeks has heavy peeling. My skin there feels rough, probably from all the little pieces of skin that are sticking out (but firmly attached so hard to get off). I have a few conclusions, one of which would be correct: Maybe I have a years-old buildup of old skin cells that need to be removed, and this is a good thing? Maybe I'm having an allergic reaction to this particular brush? Maybe I should never use a brush again? Not sure what the problem is.

I have bought several over the years for myself and friends. Easy to use exfoliant - no batteries required, and you can either use it with a DHC cleanser or soap. I replace them when they begin to look dingy but with care, a brush lasts 6-9 months.

I have been wanting this brush for a while but was disappointed with the actual product. The brush is large which is nice for the cheeks and forehead but is too large to easily maneuver around the nose and mouth. It also kills any lather from my cleanser, making it feel like I'm simply using water with the brush. It's OK but I think it is expensive for what it is and would prefer to use a washcloth for gentle exfoliation. One benefit is that it does look beautiful and has a wonderfully smooth wooden handle. I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it to a friend.

Comments:

This product is disappointed D: I use this product with foam cleanser and the touch of the brush is very harsh! It doesn't look like when I touch it with my finger, it's soft. After use this I have rash grow up on my face and my skin is very thin and red... Or may be I just put too much strength on it.
