Love everything except the mascara. That is really hard to remove and work with after you start putting on. Has a strange texture.

Have used the Velvet Skin Coat for awhile - and love it! Decided to try this Basics Set when I needed a refill, and I was pleasantly surprised. I love the mascara!! It's got a great texture - not clumpy - and the brush really defines and separates your lashes. The lip balm is also fabulous - nice feel, and really smoothes your lips. Can be used alone or under lipstick. These products are a great find.

I use the Velvet skin coat first before I put my makeup on. Wow what a product! My base coat just "flows" on. The lip moisture is perfect for all day use. I live in Colorado where the weather is dry.

All three of these products together are Wonderful and you can't beat the price!! Best waterproof Mascara I have ever tried and my small little lashes come out Bursting with COLOR and Fullness! The Velvet Skin Coat Lotion is a Keeper for Life for me..just soft as silk on my skin...Wish they could make a Bigger Dispenser. Oh..My first time trying the lip Balm...it is moisturizing and nice before you put on your favorite lipstick..Love them all!

I think the velvet skin coat is amazing, having posted about it before. The lip conditioner has made my lips look a lot smoother. The mascara makes my lashes look much thicker. It would be even better if the lip conditioner had sunscreen and the mascara came in other colors.

The mascara is awesome! I have oily skin and tend usually by the end of the day, I look like a raccoon! This product has great staying power, even after the gym! The velvet skin coat is great as well to help my makeup stay in place throughout the day!

This is a great set! This is a followup comment after I have used the mascara for several months now. I get compliments on my eyes when I wear it. My lashes look long full and natural not like stage makeup. I am pleasantly surprised that my eyelashes are growing out longer and thicker since using this mascara exclusively. Apparently it's easy on the eyelashes and nourishes them. Easy to remove and doesn't make my eyes itch at all. Beats my $37 dollar mascara. Doesn't clump or give me racoon eyes at the end of the day. The lip balm is awesome not tacky or gooey, just perfect and heals lips and minor skin abrasions quickly. The face prep cream is a classic that everyone should try.

I love the lip balm and of course the Skin velvet and so does my 94 year old Mother whose skin really looks better using it under her makeup. I am oily but it doesn't cake up or make me oilier. Now for the Mascara. I love it the tube or lash encasing technology no smudges and no chemical irritation to my eyes. The first day I wore it to work someone said oh! your eyes look so pretty today! I usually don't wear mascara in the daytime as it bothers my eyes and looks fake anyway. This is a natural looking mascara so if you are looking for extreme length or thickness in a hurry this is not for you. I find with patience that a few coats is plenty and looks soft and lashes are separated not stuck together. Removal at night has not been a problem either.I would buy again but perhaps a thicker formula for those who want more lash building???

This mascara is total waste of money, it does nothing to lashes - no volume or thickness at all, very poor quality. The primer does not do what it is supposed to do – make fine lines invisible. Another purpose of using primer – making your face look perfect with no touch up in an hour or two after you applied the make up. Not with this product. My skin is oily and the only reason I use primers – to eliminate the shine that you always have in an hour after you put on the foundation and the powder. This primer does not help. I can not even tell what is good about this primer, for me – nothing, not worth money either. I was hoping to get great products from this company as I have been using Japanese cosmetics for years, I love Shiseido and that's why I was excited about this new line. Not what I expected!!! Prices are extremely high for this quality. I would put these products on the level of[...] other similar retailers, it can be good for their customers (after the prices are revised according to the product quality).Three words – cheap, cheap & cheap…

Love all the products in this set. The mascara is great- the first mascara that I can wear without getting dark smudges under my eyes by the end of the day. Yet, I can still take off with my daily cleanser. If I need one of any of these products it is more cost effective to go ahead and get the set.

I was already sold on Velvet, and the day after the combo package came, I ordered another for a friend and three more Lip Creams for friends and family and wanted it in both purse and home. I've also tried mascara after mascara, and am sold on this one!
